Ciara Murphy

Occupational Therapist, CORU: OT065086

Ciara is a CORU-registered Occupational Therapist who graduated from University College Cork with a Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has experience working with both children and adults who are neurodivergent, supporting them to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Ciara has a lifelong passion for occupational justice and inclusion. She has worked with diverse communities, including people experiencing homelessness, LGBTQIA+ individuals, those affected by substance use, survivors of domestic abuse and refugees.

Ciara can offer support following a diagnosis, helping individuals and families with the activities they want, need, or are expected to do in daily life. This may include self-care, participation in school or work, daily routines, hobbies, independent living skills, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and sleep.

She also provides education and guidance for parents, caregivers, and educators, with a focus on emotional regulation and sensory-based approaches. Ciara has additional training and experience in infant mental health, parenting support, trauma-informed practice, and sleep.

With a compassionate, client-centred approach, Ciara focuses on understanding each person’s unique strengths and needs, creating tailored supports that promote wellbeing, resilience, and meaningful participation in everyday life. She is passionate about creating a warm, supportive space where individuals and families feel understood and empowered to explore what works best for them.

Ciara is an active member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI).
